Uses:
Acivir Cream is an antiviral class of medicine, which use to treat the skin infection coused by Herpes simplex virus. It is used for the treatment of genital herpes and herpes labialis/ cold sores (infections caused by the herpes simplex virus in the lips and face).
It contain Aciclovir, which works by destroying and inhibiting the replication of the Herpes simplex virus.
Indications:
Acivir cream should only be applied externally. The area to be treated should be dry and clean. Wash your hands before and after application of Acivir Cream. The dosage and duration of application should be according to your doctor’s instructions. Avoid touching the sores with hands or towels to prevent the spread of infection.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include burning, irritation, itchiness and redness at the application site. If side effects are shows for long time consult with your doctor. When it irritate to skin after application wash with running water.
Safety Advice:
If you are pregnant or breast feeding, you should speak to your doctor before taking Acivir cream 10 gm. Acivir cream should not be used in children unless your doctor tells you to.
